Compact and practical by definition, the tall, thin chest of drawers, commonly known as a tallboy, has naturally found its place in our furniture selection. From the **Louis XVI tallboy** to the vintage model, Saulaie has applied a major search criterion to very different styles: storage capacity. On the tallboy, a piece of furniture that dates back to the Regency period, it is materialised by a series of drawers, the use of which extends from lingerie to office documents. Since the tallboy belongs to the family of chests of drawers, it also finds a place in this section. In its traditional form, as its French name suggests ("semainier"), it has seven drawers. It was used to store linen and underwear, but there is no need to limit oneself to this use.

From trade use to the designer tallboy

The tallboy, as a piece of workshop furniture, is traditionally made of solid wood and has a large number of drawers. It is therefore naturally included in the register of essential design furniture, a fashion that favours raw materials and has brought many trade furniture items back into fashion. Saulaie offers you, among other things, the "Baron" and "Orsay" ranges, which respect the great standards of the tallboy (height-width-storage), while giving it a youthful look.
