For over 30 years, the professionals at La Maison Saulaie have been designing high-end chairs, assembled using fine woodworking techniques. Assembly including dowels, tenons and mortises as tradition dictates, luminous natural waxes or patinas, work with cherry and other high-quality woods... We make it a point of honour to offer high-end chairs to all our customers, whatever their style.

All La Maison Saulaie chairs are made from a solid wood structure. Contrary to popular belief, a chair with a solid wood seat will be no less comfortable than a chair with an upholstered fabric seat. It has been designed differently (width, inclination, reliefs, etc.) and specially designed for comfortable use. La Maison Saulaie then combines solid wood with other materials such as fabric, leather or even caning made by hand by French craftsmen.

Nobility of a solid wood for a unique chair

While some large chain decoration stores offer you wooden chairs at reduced prices, which are in reality fragile furniture made of pine, a very light softwood, La Maison Saulaie makes its chairs from noble and even precious wood species. Walnut, cherry, oak, rubberwood, beech or solid ash, each wood gives a unique character to our wooden chairs.

Because wood is a warm and beautiful material, we mainly offer chairs in raw wood treated naturally. Our know-how allows us to protect the wood and to patina it, while highlighting its natural roughness, its knots, its grain and the particularities of its veining.
